It's open enrollment, the annual period from November 1 through December 15, 2018, when persons who buy their own health insurance can re-enroll or select new coverage.
Looking into your options and finding the right coverage during open enrollment can be time consuming, so we'd like to make it easier. Here's a quick guide to navigating open enrollment.
- November 1: Start of 2019 open enrollment.
- December 15: Last date to enroll for January 1, 2019 health plan coverage.
- December 31: Pay your bill by this date for January coverage.
Saving Money on Your Health Plan
Most Washington residents who buy individual health coverage are eligible for financial help with the cost of their health plan, also known as a tax credit. You may qualify and be able to receive help toward your monthly health plan bill. The
credit is based on your household income and your family size.
Find out if you qualify
Create an account through Washington Healthplanfinder and provide income and family information to see if you qualify, and how much help you'll receive. Already receiving a subsidy? Log in to your Washington Healthplanfinder account to update your information in order to re-qualify. After that, you can view plan options and complete your re-enrollment.
Re-enrolling LifeWise members
Just keep paying your monthly health plan bill as you normally would. If you’re signed up for auto-renew on Washington Healthplanfinder, no further action is required.
